As the business steadily grew, it was joined by a new
business partner Frank Pressdee and in July 2002 the company invested
in a broadcast standard post-production editing suite to meet client demand
for a more comprehensive service. The first commercial production was
a show reel for a UK Channel 4 event. Since then Macoy Media has secured
other commissions enabling the team to focus upon two innovative and original
feature film projects. This healthy progress has enabled Mark Pressdee
to an exclusive funded opportunity to visit the Canne Film Festival and
pitch one of the feature films to the professionals, which has sustained
ongoing interest.
We have now established a development base in the
prestigious ‘media arts’ complex known as ‘The Custard
Factory’ in the Eastside of Birmingham. This was a calculated move
to exploit the current regeneration of this part of the city, as it will
be known as the creative sector for Birmingham. With 200 million pound
development over the next two years, this part of Birmingham will be a
key figure in media for the region as well as nationally and internationally
during this period.
